i freehand shot a rat for the first time earlier today which gave me some confidence but now i'm 4 rats later and i think i've missed every single one of them except the second one but i don't think i fatally wound it and so it ran off and i couldn't find it in time

i'm feeling a bit despondent because i don't want to make them unnecessarily suffer and the one i shot earlier died almost immediately but all the others screamed and ran off D:
i'm going to take a break for a bit and then try one more time before giving up for the day
