is it sustainable long time?

I started eating 400kcal a day to stop being a fatass... but I don't know if it'll be sustainable ;w;

Anyways I love everyanon and everynamefag

too little to start from, find those calorie trackers that specify for exercise

I mean... I used to do this before, but meds made my hunger grow and stopped eating that little and gained a lot...

But I USED to be able to do it.

You should start at 1600, and then 1200. 400 is insanity You should start at 1, and then 0. 400 is insanity >>12958627
seems hard to believe you could be getting all the nutrients you need by eating so little food. you should really be speaking to a nutritionist, not a chinese cartoon forum.

say hi to sky for me

It's not sustainable. Starving yourself isn't going to work. It takes healthy lifestyle changes that you can maintain. I know I'm going to get shit on hard for saying this, but I peaked out at 400 lbs and was morbidly obese before I made some lifestyle changes and lost over 150 lbs, so I'm saying this from experience.
>>12958627
Get a multivitamin and make sure to consume enough electrolytes and as long as you have the fat reserves you can do it.
Of course, if you're already relatively thin, it's bad for you and it's basically anorexia.

Salt. It's what's for dinner.

you only learned what worked for you not everyone else

I think most dietitians would agree that sustainable lifestyle changes are more effective than starvation diets in the long term.
>>12958904
i don't think any adult human can live long-term on 400 calories a day
>>12958909
people want to accelerate weight loss in the short term which makes sense they can care about settling into a more sustainable way of things when they are closer to their preferred weight

Your fortune: キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━ !!!!
>>12958909
There have been studies tying period calorie restriction to reduced metabolic rate and longevity, but nothing as extreme as what OP is suggesting, more like 200 calories below your total daily energy expenditure.
>>12958918
Those short term diets cause more problems then they fix. They slow your metabolism and lead to binge-eating rebounds and often times lead to weight gain in the long run. I will repeat it until I die, you need healthy, sustainable lifestyle changes to lose weight, not starvation diets. And I don't care how much you try to tell me I'm wrong. I'm not.
>>12958627
it works ^^
I lost 130 pounds (58 kg) 9 years ago by hiking and jogging all day and having a large healthy meal at dinner >>12958938
This. Exercise and eat healthily.
You'll find joy and strenght from that.
Rather then just starving all day with a body so weak to do anything.

Your fortune: Good Luck
>>12958929
you speak in way too broad terms and make assumptions that's why you are wrong lole

Your fortune: Better not tell you now
>>12958938
I did it by completely cutting out all sugary drinks (I'm a fiend for energy drinks), using the stairs instead of the elevators at work (I calculated that I climb 30 flights of stairs during a typical shift), and most importantly eating only when I'm hungry, and when I do eat, to only eat until Im satisfied and then stop.
>>12958941
This really only works if you're already massively overweight
At a certain weight you gotta plan more about what your eating or all you'll be doing is eating at maintenance without realising
idk about K-san but personally Im short and at a average weight so doing that just makes me stay at maintenance or gain a bit more
>>12958966
I mean, this is true. It only took me a year to drop from 400lbs to 320lbs. Another year to go from 320 lbs to 300. A year to go from 300 to 290. And it's taken me a full decade to get from 290 to 250. Losing weight is easy when you're a massive fat-ass, but the closer you get to a healthier weight, the harder it becomes.
>>12958627
it's not. you can lose a lot of weight but you'll gain it right back the second you stop starving yourself.

>>12958631
yeah it gets harder as you get older. exercise >>> diet which also stops being as easy or effective.

>>12958971
I've spent 30 years going from 325 to 324.
>>12958627
nope. if you want diet advice try doing what i did. i didn't change anything, i'd still make big meals of tasty food as i normally would but then i'd split the meal in half, put the other half in the fridge. then later on when i get hungry instead of having a late night feast i'd eat the other half of the meal. or eat it the next day. it works so well because i barely had to change anything in my routine
>>12958973
yeah eating smaller portions thing is really helpful in losing weight
fasting can be good for training willpower also i think it helps in alternating your tastes adjusting to a better diet

Your fortune: Reply hazy, try again
>>12958973
>try doing what i did
this is the worst diet advice no matter what you did. eat less exercise more (which is do as I say not as I do). OMAD, half meals, calorie restriction are just all means to the same end, what worked for (You) won't necessarily work for anyone else.
>>12958930
post benis
>>12958984
>never give advice ever
uhh ok. anyway the best "diets" are ones with the least amount of rules to follow. if you go all out and calorie track everything that's not sustainable, motivation is fickle
>>12958966
This is what happens to me... but mostly because I rarely moved... Im tall and overweight... not massive but still...

I honestly had more than 400kcal today (double : 800) just to avoid getting dizzy after under 400kcal yesterday and a 25 hour fast... Im now fasting again

>>12958627
I think the higher the calories the more sustainable it is... Of course, you might have to aim low because you will inevitably eat more than you think you're eating.
>>12958627
I burn 2000kcal a day and eat 800kcal

am I gonna make it?

Your fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger
>>12959668
If you do it long enough you might not
Thats why you should figure out when you want to stop and contineu with maintenance instead (,, ^_^) !

Your fortune: Average Luck
>>12959676
I've been doing it for about four months now...

I lost 30 pounds last year, this year I lost um... 15?

Your fortune: Outlook good
>>12958627
It doesn't have to be sustainable it just has to make a tangible differnce. As long as you're not gaining weight every time you come off it, it can take weight off.
>>12958627
ilu2 frend <3
please eat more than that? thats way too low for any sustained length of time
