Humans all around the globe believed in ~4 200 religions across history.
And even with a number this high, there is no tangible proof for :
1) The existence of a god.
2) The truthiness of one specific religion.
So we know humans are known to create religions to explain what they dont understand.
And all religious discourse is based on blind faith with no scientifically recognised proof.
Religions also tell humans that there is an objective good and an objective evil that nobody can question or disprove.
Obviously this can become detrimental to humanity's progress.
And it's even worse because religious texts can be twisted to fit certain goals :
- the evangelical Christians of the White House and their millions of followers that blindly follow Trump madness
- the orthodox jews that blindly follow nethanyahu genocide of Palestine to "make the messiah arrive"
- the Orthodox Christians in Russia that blindly follow Putin's war to fight the "evil West"
- there are similar exemple with all other religions
Religions can justify the actions of nefarious ppl and make their kind unable to think outside the box.
This is basically brainwashing.
Again, thanks to a "gospel" (so unclear that there is numerous interpretations), based on a "god", that nobody can prove.

- Religions are a recipe for disaster; it doesn't always end up as a disaster, but it's always a possibility.
