Yeah but I don't think it's normal to see a kid talking and think oh wow that reminds me of my best friend who I fucked at school because you mentally place your friends and peers as the same age as yourself. I think it only works here because chiyo was a child child and Osaka has experience with the unorthodox phenomenon of child prodigies, but it's a little annoying to me because Yotsuba and Chiyo only resemble each other from the perspective of us, the viewers, because the characters are by design occupying specific times in their life, but for someone like Osaka, she probably has two completely different perspectives of the two girls, one being her very close childhood friend who she hopefully grew up with and saw go through puberty and still knows as an adult but still acts like a chiyo should, and the other being one of her many students but I don't think Yotsuba is depicted as a child prodigy anyway, Chiyos blah blahs are very intelligent but Yotsuba is typical toddler brain, but even now I'm falling into the trap of comparing the two as depicted in their respective stories side by side, when my entire point is that Osaka should have a lifelong perspective of Chiyo which makes her occupy a completely different place in her mind to a little kid. I mean put it this way, you've probably seen lots and lots of kids that closely resemble your childhood friends or classmates, but I bet you've never once thought those kids remind you of those times and those people, because you think of your friends as being just like you, the same age as you, whereas you see those today kids as just kids, beneath you completely We have to kill her.

not exactly the same thing, but when i see my young cousins and how they are #RUDE to one another (stealing their toys or food, or two of them ganging up on the other), it reminds me of how my brothers and i behaved at that age, but i guess i would see them in a similar way since we're family. i usually try telling them to treat each other more kindly because i don't see my brothers all that often these days and wish we would have gotten along like we do now, but that's just how some kids are i guess. brb sending my brothers the next ebic mene i find here
