The duck breast cuts are actually burnt but the rest is just red cabbage. But it mostly looks that way from above due to black nori crisps sprinkled on top. is the okonomiyaki cost-performance good? living on my own soon and have been collecting recipes to save time and money. a lot of rice cooker and air fryer dishes >>12680675

There are a couple oddities that go into traditional recipes that can make it pricey but otherwise barely affect the flavor like bonito flakes, nori, weird grated yam that acts as baking powder or dashi.
If you skip the weird stuff and just make them out of cabbage, egg, flour, water, mayo and mix that sauce >>12680672 it's an insane value that's quick to prepare. Mostly gonna taste like mayo + sauce even with the fancy stuff.
