One nice thing about living in a trailer is I have my own lawn, which means I can set up a bird feeder.
Mine is pretty simple, just a hanging platform feeder and then a tray on the ground as a ground feeder. The little sparrows like to ground feed and I like to make sure they're taken care of
Today they are eating a blend of sunflower seeds, safflower seeds, raisins, and peanut suet pellets, along with whole, unsalted, shelled peanuts left out (the bluejays love the peanuts).
Birds I have seen at my bird feeder:
house sparrows (by far the biggest visitor)
cardinals (runner up)
blue jays (peanut maniacs, love these guys)
red bellied woodpecker (another peanut fanatic)
european starlings
grackles
and... the coolest one yet, I saw a red-tailed hawk swoop in on my bird feeder once to try to get one of those fat-ass fox squirrels!
