I just think there's way too many KPOP threads on /mu/, and the way they post them is wasteful and unhealthy for the board I think. The moment a KPOP thread hits bump limit they start 2-3 new ones, leaving the old threads discarded like garbage around the catalog. I checked on the archives a couple of years ago and in just one Saturday I counted over 40 KPOP generals posted. I don't see why those posters can't just stick to one thread past bump limit until it dies, this is how every other general here functions at least that I have seen. That way far fewer music related threads would be slid due to kpop and maybe give the chance for more interesting discussion to happen. As it stands I find the board next to unusable, anything of value just gets washed straight down the cr*pper by the deluge of discarded KPOP generals. Really wish they would do something to improve this but I believe the mods there are actually party to such degenerate posting habits themselves.

this is exactly what happens every time someone makes a meta containment thread it immediately devolves into number posting and people replying to replies instead of actually keeping discussion in one place

the board cannot go five minutes without fragmenting itself into thirty identical generals about nothing and then everyone wonders why the catalog looks like a copy paste error
