i try to be nice, but i have no delusions about it.
Being nice will not heal me, but i choose it anyway. I tend to have bad days and then I'm really mean to people online and then I go to bed sad and filled with regret. nobody has ever treated me nice and I've never gotten a compliment in my entire life and that's not a lie at all. If I died nobody would care and there's no reason to try and keep surviving. I SHOULD commit suicide. Suicide is meant for people like me who can't be loved. how do you define being nice to yourself? I buy myself chocolate and spend the day jerking off and it'll help me manage and survive. On top of that I'll find myself being polite to everyone and causing no problems.
If being nice to myself means pushing myself and making myself uncomfortable to reach some higher goal, then I don't have a mechanism to cope and I will inevitably become unstable and act hurtful towards myself and others.
The first option keeps me going day by day, but I will never achieve anything and it's honestly very embarrassing, it's not nice to myself in the long run. But the second option could end in suicide, murder, psych ward, stimulant overdose. >>12897295

Being nice to yourself just means don't be mean to yourself. We're usually harder on ourselves than anyone else, when we should be compassionate towards ourselves and forgive ourselves for not being perfect. It's not about hedonism or self I indulgence, it just means you need to care about yourself. You matter.
