yes use mint or zorin or something they are made for idiots. there were some problems for me at first but windows also gives me a shit ton of problems and once i got used to it it was smooth sailing. biggest negative though is that if you need certain apps like adobe stuff, CSP etc you will not be able to use them on linux, as well as games like most big MMOs and anything UWP if you are unfortunate enough to have games from there. so if thats a dealbreaker for you and you dont have access to extra hardware, something capable of running a VM, or enough storage space to dual boot, id recommend escaping to something like windows 10 instead since it still has a fairly large marketshare (way more than 7 at its EOL) and most stuff that works on 11 works on 10.

most windows apps can be ran through wine, CSP is one of the ones that has problems. i dont remember what they are though. there is krita but im not sure how close it is to replicating the CSP experience as i dont draw much, at least its not GIMP levels of atrocious. but i think some features are missing. generally any big software that doesnt run on linux at all will have an open source equivalent but whether they are any good varies heavily. >>12938836
