The more I learn about history the less I understand it.
The idea that "wokeism" sprang whole cloth out of an arch-conservative golden age like the 1950s does not make sense.
It doesn't make sense because it never happened. The narrative was applied retroactively and externally onto our past.
They kept saying it happened until finally it did.
Television. They could keep hammering it in.
Teachers. They hammered it into the children while the parents worked.
The rot began in the tower.
Their system of lies only broke down with the democratisation of information via the internet.

Wokeism wasn't invented by liberals, it was invented by conservatives. It's an umbrella term that they can use to lump together any idea they don't like and slap a label onto it so they can say it's bad without having to actually explain why it's bad. It's intellectually lazy.
