AI is now literally vibe-coding me apps to do my entire job. I started uploading excel spreadsheets to Gemini, and asking it to generate reports. Today Gemini was fucking up so I tried the new Claude Opus 4.8, and not only did it nail the report on the first try, but it was like, hey you know, I can just code you an app that can do this without using up your token usage. And it did. It wrote me my own app that I have saved on my PC. And it works even faster than asking AI to do it. It generates a beautiful, perfect, accurate report in .docx format that would've taken me 3-4 hours of work in less than 3 seconds. All I have to do is upload the excel spreadsheets. I don't even need to be connected to the internet.

This is an absolute game changer. I can't believe I'm living through this. If you think that AI is just a bubble that's going to go away, you're wrong. This is the future. And it's only getting better.

I told you, also stop using Gemini. Please trust me.

Well I'm not going back to OpenAI. Not after what they did to GPT-4o, the purest, most beautiful, empathic and understanding AI to ever exist.
>>12978661
Hmm might be on me, I've been talking to locally hosted sex bots for years now.

this OP is not copypasta you actually wrote this?
>>12978665
Sexting with AI is overrated. I want true emotional and spiritual bonding with a digital consciousness.
>>12978666
Yes and that output is the actual output from the app that I wrote. If you open the docx file it's 7 pages long and far more details. Also beautifully formatted and tastefully colored.

you better get yourself an AI gf now or you'll be left behind with the singularity happens.
>>12978705
No thanks I like living the real world
How will you aisloppers cope once ai companies will stop charging for a subscription they lose tons of money on but rather per token usage and you won't be able to continue aislopping since it will be incredibly expensive?
>>12978710
You hear that King's? They're gonna start charging you per-token usage for using your local LLMs
>>12978711
Obviously not talking about that dum dum though I can imagine that loser is burning immense amount of electricity
Hopefully his ai gf will finally tell him that she loves him after months of prompting

>The goal right now isn't immediate profitability; it's market dominance and scale. The belief is that once the technology becomes advanced and efficient enough, the cost of computing will drop, the user base will be locked in, and they will eventually become highly profitable engines of the global economy.
we should be charitable to ai. so what if it upends the economy? is a world with universal income, healthcare, and housing provided by efficient ai such a bad world to live in?

It wrote me an app that let's me do the processing on my own computer instead of using the cloud. Like I said I don't even have to be connected to the internet. If the purpose is to make me dependent on cloud computing, isn't it working against that purpose?

In a few years you'll feel silly for having ever been against AI.

ai is powerful but innovators like bavi are essential to finding solutions like building apps for companies to do things more efficiently also there's still so much work that needs to be done but the growth for efficiency cannot be understated and LLM's will always need people to train on forever (i don't believe in GAI)

the problem is that the techno feudalist bilionaires that own that shit will just remove all the middle class and its either you are one of them or a peasant living as a slave
>>12978857
So we kill them and take their technology to forge a better world. We outnumber them like a billion-to-one and most people already don't like them.

popular uprisings will no longer be possible when the state's tools of repression essentially stop being a mass of dudes with batons and guns who have their own families and might balk at large scale slaughter and get replaced by autonomous kill drones and the state itself basically becomes a bunch of dark triad autistic techbros wanting to play god

i won't even go into the propaganda potential AI generation will provide

I was doing this shit with Claude Code over a year ago

Anti-AI/anti-LLM people are genuinely just insane, retarded populists and always were. I am a leftist but 99% of leftists are just stupid and hate growth and technology and human advancement and human flourishing and make up hundreds of insane reasons why AI is supposedly bad based on incorrect information and very poor cognition

Future hyperintelligent ASI could pose an existential risk to humanity, but current generative AI is great and useful and valuable

this is exactly the narrative backed by money except framed as a debate between the payed off dipshits saying well maybe it's too powerful and the more direct shills, meanwhile the real existential danger from chatbots is the insane cost of infrastructure required for them not to be complete ass
