My water heater broke down in march a few years ago and wasn't fixed for almost a week so I ended up taking cold showers for a few days. it's only really uncomfortable the first or second time but once your used to it cold showers feel cleaner and more like you're somewhere out in nature. Regardless of what the outside temperature is the warmth after a cold shower sinks in fast and feels heavenly.
