Here at the Spikedog Cafe® we think it is time to bring back the old tradition of the Blue Plate Special. A daily special that is simple, hearty, nutritious and affordable.
When looking for our next blue plate special recipe we look what we have in inventory. This week we have a lot of these strange stale bread pieces. I think we should grind those up for bread crumbs.
*grind grind grind*
Lets get those browning....
*sizzle sizzle* We've got some mushrooms that are stil good but a bit too brown to put on salads. Lets saute them now the spike patties are browned.
*more sizzle sizzle* forgot pic Hmmm... what do we do with sauteed mushrooms? GRAVY! I think whatever this is could use a big pile of mashed potatoes that looks like Spikedog Mountain. Those spike patties went for a swim in the gravy for a while and after putting the pattie on the plate, pouring on the yummy mushroom gravy and adding some green peas we have the Wednesday night blue plate special at the Spikedog Cafe ®: Salisbury steak.
